STORM DROP
Apple - Log No. 2

Born from a storm-fallen, 34-year-old apple limb — still holding fruit when I found it — this drop carries the kind of warmth and texture that only comes from a tree with a story.
The short, 13" long and 7" diameter limb gave me just a tiny batch of spoons, spurtles, and other unique items, so if something catches your eye, grab it before someone else “picks” it first!

Signature Series
The Signature Series highlights my most expressive, detail-driven work—pieces where the wood’s natural character and hand-carved embellishments take center stage. These spoons often feature kolrosing, complex patterns, or unique grain and coloring that make each one unmistakably one-of-a-kind. They’re crafted with extra time, intention, and refinement, resulting in functional art meant to be used, admired, and passed down.
Everyday Series
The Everyday Series includes simple, sturdy, beautifully carved utensils made to be reached for daily. These pieces skip the ornamental details but keep all the warmth and honesty of hand-carved wood. Durable, comfortable in the hand, and built for hard-working kitchens, they’re the perfect introduction to Spoonweather craft — quiet helpers that get better with years of use.
What are Storm Drops?
Storm Drops are small, limited releases of pieces carved from a single downed limb or log — usually something I find after a big storm or trimming season here in Needham, MA. Each drop comes from one specific tree, gathered on one specific day, and turned into a handful of one-of-a-kind pieces — each with its own story. Once the wood from that log is gone, that drop is complete forever.
